NEG GRANBWA CULTURE BWA KAY IMAN 2014

NEG GRAN BWA CULTURE’S GOALS:

NGC seeks to achieve the goal of raising awareness about Bwa Kay Iman as our event as well as a history lesson. We want more people in the community to know about the different workshops that are available to them. Whether it is the Haitian community or others of a different culture and especially to the children, we want to reach more people. By expanding our project to more people, we can create a similar spirit of unity as the gathering of the slaves of the original Bwa Kay Iman. Through painting, dancing, drumming and storytelling we want to accomplish the outcome of everyone leaving with something that they’ve learned from this profoundly artistic event.

“The community captures the force of the trees that surrounds us; the air that we breathe and the glow of sun rays shine on us all, creating a spiritual harmony.  This is all through communal effort. We need your help to make this event CONTINUE and make it more POWERFUL then last year!”
